Untrained teachers urged to get enrolled at CPCE

DPI | "The Ministry of Education’s call for untrained teachers to be enrolled at the Cyril Potter College of Education (CPCE) is a move that will ensure educators are in a better position to deliver quality education even as Guyana moves towards a first-class education system.

Minister of Education, Priya Manickchand, M.P, said Guyana is seeking to have a “first-class” education. She told DPI Monday, that the ministry aims to train all teachers by 2025, creating a solid education system that produces well-educated students."

Senior members of the Ministry of Education on Monday afternoon participated in a capacity building exercise to facilitate greater output in various levels of the education system. The exercise provided an opportunity to assess the works done thus far and to outline key objectives to implement sustainable change in the education sector.
